Aliens? Aliens! Learning what Thanksgiving is!

Our elementary students lived a truly special and meaningful Thanksgiving celebration this year! With great love and enthusiasm, the teachers prepared a creative theatre play that captured everyone’s attention. The story followed a group of curious aliens who arrived on Earth trying to understand what Thanksgiving is and why humans celebrate it. Through humor, teamwork, and simple but powerful messages, students learned about the origins of Thanksgiving and the values behind this important tradition.

This activity beautifully reflected our Augustinian spirit, reminding students of the importance of gratitude, community, and recognizing God’s presence in everyday blessings. Just as Saint Augustine taught, we are called to look within, appreciate what we receive, and share joy with others—and our students truly lived that today.

After the play, the celebration continued with excitement as everyone danced and enjoyed time with our fun and energetic turkey, Gobble Gobble, who filled the school with laughter.

Later, students shared a Thanksgiving-style banquet, bringing delicious and creative dishes—many shaped like little turkeys! The tables were full of color, imagination, and festive treats that made the moment even more special. Sharing food helped them experience unity and friendship, key values in our Augustinian community life.

This Thanksgiving celebration in Elementary was not only joyful and full of fun moments—it was a beautiful reminder to live with grateful hearts, to care for one another, and to appreciate the many blessings that God gives us every day.
