Fray Luis gets Lucky GREEN! St. Patrick’s Day

On March 17th, our High School and Jr High classrooms were filled with green, laughter, and a little bit of Irish magic as we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style! 🍀✨

To commemorate this important date, students participated in a series of engaging activities designed not only to practice their English skills but also to explore the rich history and traditions behind one of the world’s most beloved celebrations. From quizzes and word searches to sudokus and cultural challenges, every classroom became a hub of friendly competition and collaborative fun.

But the excitement didn’t stop there! Students were divided into teams, each working together to complete a variety of tasks. The goal? To be the first team to finish all activities and claim the ultimate prize: a Golden Pot of Chocolate—complete with shiny chocolate coins that made every victory even sweeter! 🏆🍫💰

Beyond the games, teachers took the opportunity to guide students through the fascinating story behind the celebration. They explored the life of Saint Patrick, his journey to Ireland during the final years of the Roman Empire, and how his legacy became intertwined with Irish identity. Students also learned about the symbolism of green as a sign of good luck and the four-leaf clover, an enduring icon of Irish folklore and hope.

It was a day of learning, teamwork, and cultural discovery—proof that language learning goes far beyond grammar and vocabulary. It is about understanding the stories, symbols, and traditions that connect us all.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated teachers for bringing the magic of St. Patrick’s Day into the classroom, and to our students for embracing the spirit of the day with enthusiasm and joy.

Until next year… may the luck of the Irish be with you! 🍀🌈
