From June 1st to 3rd, the Fray Luis de León Auditorium was transformed into a captivating gallery of living history. Our Jr High students, guided by their dedicated teachers René, Caro, Chava, May, and Nidia, presented an extraordinary interactive experience called the “Living Museum” — a unique event where students became the exhibits, and families became the visitors. 🎭🖼️
Divided by levels — Red, Yellow, Blue, and Purple — each group worked tirelessly to research, write, and memorize speeches representing iconic figures from history and pop culture. The result was a stunning collection of exhibition rooms, where parents and guests could walk from one corner to the next and encounter living representations of some of the most influential personalities of all time.
In one corner, visitors could hear Vincent van Gogh himself describe the passion and emotion behind his masterpiece, The Starry Night. In another, Queen Elizabeth II spoke with poise and strength about the defining moments of her reign and the weight of royal responsibility. From artists and monarchs to scientists, musicians, and modern icons, each student embodied their character with remarkable commitment, maturity, and stage presence.
What made this event truly special was not only the quality of the speeches — delivered in clear, confident English — but also the attention to detail in costumes, props, and character interpretation. Every gesture, every glance, and every carefully pronounced word reflected weeks of preparation and a deep sense of pride in their work.
Parents walked through the museum with wide smiles, stopping to listen, ask questions (in character!), and applaud the effort of each young performer. It was a beautiful reminder that learning English is not just about grammar and vocabulary — it is about expression, empathy, and the courage to step into someone else’s story.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Teachers René, Caro, Chava, May, and Nidia for their vision, dedication, and ability to inspire their students to reach beyond expectations. Their collaborative effort ensured that every level, every student, and every family felt included and celebrated.
And to our Jr High students: you brought history to life. You showed us that learning is alive, that English can be a stage, and that the past still has so much to teach us. We are very proud of you. 💙
